Thunder Bay – Superior North is a target riding, where we can help elect a PR champion to the House of Commons.

Both the Greens and NDP have commtiments to proportional representation in their platforms. Read their platform commitments here.

Thunder Bay – Superior North is held by Liberal MP Patty Hajdu. From 2008 to 2015, this riding was represented by MP Bruce Hyer. Hyer won as an NDP in 2008, became an independent in 2012, then joined the Green Party in 2013.

According to 338canada.com and calculatedpolitics.ca (as of September 28/2019) this riding is likely to go Liberal, but the Greens are second, with the NDP and Conservatives a more distant third. It may become a two or a three way race. If local polling becomes available, we will add it to this page. This riding has never elected a Conservative.

Fair Vote Canada is running online ads in this riding, reminding voters that Justin Trudeau broke his promise, and urging them to support candidates who are committed to getting proportional representation back on the table. Endorsed candidates: Bruce Hyer (Green) and Anna Betty Achneepineskum (NDP).
