    Attached is a link to a Google DOCS paper that illustrates one possible application of the Scottish system in a Canadian context. Scotland has FPTP constituencies but than adds some regional MPs to make the final tally closer to proportional.

    This is not a recommendation – just an exercise to see what would happen if we added about 50% more seats and used them to compensate underrepresented voters in each province. The math is fun, if you like that sort of thing.
