Fair Vote Canada celebrates First Nations, Inuit and Métis people across the country as we offer our solidarity on this important day. Recent events have once again highlighted the injustices and harms perpetuated by settlers on First Nations, and the impacts that continue to be felt.
Fair Vote Canada looks forward to the day when #NationalIndigenousPeoplesDay can shift from being a necessary and important reminder of the tremendous work that remains to be done on reconciliation to being a true celebration of Indigenous culture and contributions. As a first step, we support urgent implementation of the Calls for Action made by the Truth & Reconciliation Commission.
