FVC Toronto chapter calls for voting reform in Toronto
The FVC Toronto chapter is calling for the adoption of a fair and proportional voting system for Toronto.
On February 11, chapter member Camille Labchuk was one of 17 presenters at an Ignite-style public event hosted by VoteTO.
Each presenter made a 4 minute, 16 second, powerpoint presentation on an issue the presenter wished to see debated in the upcoming Toronto municipal election. The slides were set to advance automatically every 15 seconds, whether the speaker was ready or not! It was an interesting event and the Fair Vote presentation was well received.
The 4-minute powerpoint presentation outlining why the City of Toronto needs a fair voting system is available here. [To see the page notes with slides, click on View and then on Notes Page.]
The chapter's flyer - Fair Voting for Toronto - is available here.
