Campaign finance reform survey of Ontario councillors and mayors

In summer 2010, Fair Vote Canada surveyed 474 municipal councillors and mayors in Ontario's 42 largest cities, not including Toronto - asking if they supported a ban on corporate and union campaign contributions in municipal elections.

The City of Toronto adopted the ban in late 2009, putting it in line with a similar ban in federal elections, provincial elections in Manitoba, Quebec and Nova Scotia, and all municipal elections in Quebec.

Those mayors and councillors who reported that they support the ban for municipal elections and agreed to be listed are shown below. Those with an asterisk (*) also indicated they will not solicit or accept corporate or union donations in the current municipal election campaign.
