November 2, 2006, 7:00pm

Arts Lecture Hall room 208, University of Waterloo

(Directions and Parking information)

104 Ontario citizens are now in the process of studying electoral reform in the province. They are meeting to learn about new voting systems, consult with the public, and possibly recommend a new voting system for Ontario. This voting system would then go to referendum next October. Professor Williams will discuss the Citizen's Assembly and its impact on provincial democracy.

In addition, Ron Vankoughnett will speak about his experiences as Kitchener-Waterloo's representative on the Ontario Citizen's Assembly.

About the speaker: Robert J. Williams is a professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Waterloo. He is the Director for the Centre for Election Studies.

This lecture is free and open to the public. It has been brought to you by the Waterloo Region chapter of Fair Vote Canada, the University of Waterloo Young Liberals, the University of Waterloo Conservatives, and the Waterloo Public Interest Research Group.
