Electoral reform back in the spotlight
The Toronto Star published a long piece today that points to the increased momentum in favour of proportional representation in Canada in recent months. This article is part of a series examining key reform issues that party leaders have identified. Proportional representation is indeed one of those issues, as it has the full support of both the NDP and the Green Party, and received considerable impetus on June 16 with the Liberal Party announcement that 2015 would be the last first-past-the-post election in Canada.
